The Time+Tide Sydney Pop-Up Studio returns on the weekend of 17 and 18 October. For two days, a handful of watches that are hard to see in person anywhere in Australia will be on a table in Pyrmont. Entry is free. A session is not guaranteed.

If you live in Sydney and like smaller watch brands, you know the problem. Most of them sell online only. You read about a watch, you look at the photos, you check the lug-to-lug, and then you order it without ever having it on your wrist. Time+Tide runs a physical studio in Melbourne, which helps Melbourne. Sydney gets a visit.
This is that visit. Time+Tide calls it its third annual Sydney Studio Pop-Up.
When and where
- Dates: Saturday 17 October, from 10am, to Sunday 18 October, until 4pm (AEDT)
- Venue: 63 Little Mount Street, Pyrmont NSW 2009
- Entry: Free, but you have to register for a session
- Format: 90-minute sessions, with a 30-minute break between each one while the team resets the room
- On arrival: You get a wristband. Time+Tide says you can bring a plus-one if you contact them first
Time+Tide has named four brands so far:
- Studio Underd0g
- echo/neutra
- Serica
- Furlan Marri
It also says it will bring “fresh releases from our Founderfest lineup”. FounderFest was Time+Tide’s event on 19 and 20 September, held in Melbourne, London and New York, built around seven collaboration watches:
- Awake SÆ¡n Mà i Frosted Leaf “Ultraviolet”
- Baltic Heures du Monde “Horizon Line”
- Beaucroft “The Punk”
- Dennison ALD Dual Time “Carnaby Blue”
- echo/neutra Rivanera Piccolo “Rosa d’Epoca”
- Furlan Marri “Songlines”
- Serica Ref. 7505 “Sunburst”
Sydney was not one of the FounderFest cities, so this weekend may be the first chance to see some of these here. Time+Tide has not said which of the seven will make the trip .
What the Time+Tide Sydney Pop-Up is for
This is a shop as much as an event, and it is worth being clear about that. Time+Tide sells watches, and the pop-up is how it sells them in Sydney.
Visitors get a pop-up code card. Time+Tide says it gives seven days of access, after the event, to studio-only watches and select pre-orders .
That does not make it less useful. Seeing a 38mm watch next to a 40mm one, on your own wrist, answers questions that no spec sheet can. Just go knowing that the people in the room are there to sell, and that you do not have to buy anything to get value out of a session.
How we got here
The first Time+Tide Sydney Pop-Up ran on 29 and 30 June 2024 at the QT Hotel on Market Street, in the city. It brought Studio Underd0g, Furlan Marri, Baltic, Doxa, Hamilton, Norqain, Mido, Nivada Grenchen, Fears and Zodiac. A second followed in 2025 .
This year the Time+Tide Sydney Pop-Up moves to Pyrmont, and the list leans harder towards independent and microbrands.
